Ancient fermentation, revived

DaRooh Fermentation Kits — DIY wine, kanji and yogurt kits in India

Create wine, kanji and flavoured yogurt at home, naturally. Every DaRooh fermentation kit carries the ritual, the ingredients and the guidance you need to craft an extraordinary drink in about seven days.

DaRooh makes beginner-friendly DIY fermentation kits for home use in India. Each DaRooh fermentation kit includes sterile fruit powders, a yeast culture, a fermentation vessel, and a step-by-step illustrated guide — everything needed to start a first brew with no prior experience and no specialised equipment.

Why DaRooh

  • Ancient fermentation, revived — traditional Indian fermentation practices, rebuilt with modern food-science technique.
  • A seven-day cycle — from fruit powder to finished beverage in a week, in an ordinary kitchen.
  • Zero waste — if a brew ferments past the beverage stage it becomes culinary vinegar rather than a loss.
  • Multiple flavours — berry, apple, ginger and hibiscus refill packs keep the same equipment in use.

The seven-day cycle

Brew — Day 1 setup
Blend your concentrate, water, and sugar. Seal and let the culture wake up naturally.
Clarify — Day 2-3 check
Add the clarifier to settle haze and sharpen flavour in less than a day.
Bottle — Day 4 transfer
Move your batch into reusable DaRooh tubes that are made to travel and gift.
Sign — Day 5 identity
Name your batch, mark the date, and turn your bottle into a personal edition.
Serve — Day 7 pour
Chill, pour, and share. Your first handcrafted batch is now table ready.

Products

The DaRooh Fermentation Kit is ₹2,001 and contains everything required for a first batch. Refill flavour packs are sold separately so the vessel and equipment are reused rather than replaced.

Where DaRooh ships

DaRooh ships within India only. The kits are food-grade fermentation ingredients and equipment, not ready-to-drink alcohol, and they are intended for personal home use rather than commercial production.

Age and local law

DaRooh kits are sold to adults for personal home use. Fermentation produces a small amount of alcohol, and whether producing it at home is permitted depends on the law of the state you are in — not on where DaRooh ships from.

In states that prohibit alcohol — Gujarat, Bihar, Nagaland and Lakshadweep — the kits should be used only for non-alcoholic ferments such as kanji, flavoured yogurt or vinegar. Buyers are responsible for complying with their own state's excise rules. See the Terms and conditions for the full position.
